I just thought, \u201cI want to write a book\u201d and it was only when I was halfway through that I realised I had no idea what I was doing.<\/p><p>Regrettably, I never learned and last year when I saw a college course advertising proofreading and editing I thought\u2026 that could help me; I\u2019m a writer. It will be good to learn how to proofread and edit my books properly.<\/p><p>I now roll my eyes at myself as the course just confirmed that no one can proofread their own work, but it did teach me a lot.<\/p><p>It turns out that while I\u2019m terrible at spotting my own mistakes; I am good at spotting other people\u2019s, which gave me the idea of working freelance.<\/p><p>Unfortunately, getting my degree was the easy part of all this.<\/p><p>I now get to the bit where I have no clue what I\u2019m doing\u2026 finding work!<\/p><p>You see, while I did my course, I did a lot of research about getting freelance work and it all seemed so easy.
